Quick answers to the questions we hear most often.
TrustRating is a trust intelligence platform that combines customer reviews with analysis from multiple leading AI models. It helps people research companies, compare ratings, identify potential risks, and make better-informed decisions.
Customers submit reviews, which are verified where possible. AI models independently assess publicly available information about each company, and the results are combined into a published TrustScore that is regularly recalculated.
A TrustScore is a rating that brings together AI-generated company assessments and available customer-review information. It is designed to provide a broader view of a company’s trustworthiness, reputation, service, reliability, and support.
TrustScores are recalculated regularly as new reviews, company information, and AI assessments become available. TrustRating’s public explanation states that scores are recomputed daily.
TrustRating uses multiple leading AI models to assess companies independently. Company profiles display the individual model results and an overall AI consensus where available.
Each AI model may use different data, reasoning methods, and weighting. Showing the individual ratings allows users to see where the models agree and where their assessments differ.
No. Purchasing a subscription does not increase a company’s TrustScore or remove legitimate criticism. Paid plans provide business-management features, but TrustRating presents its scoring system as non-pay-to-play.
No. TrustScores, reviews, AI summaries, and company assessments are provided for general informational purposes. They should not be treated as financial, legal, investment, accounting, or professional advice.
Reviews should be submitted by people describing a genuine experience with the company. Reviews must follow TrustRating’s reviewer guidelines and must not be fake, misleading, abusive, or submitted to manipulate ratings.
A verified review is one where TrustRating has been able to confirm that a genuine interaction or transaction with the business took place. Verification confirms the interaction, but it does not necessarily prove every statement or opinion contained in the review.
No. Both verified and unverified reviews may appear on TrustRating. Every review is screened by automated systems, but only reviews with sufficient evidence of a genuine interaction receive verified status.
No. Reviews describe individual experiences and opinions, so TrustRating does not independently confirm every claim. Automated systems screen reviews for suspicious activity, and human moderators can investigate content that is flagged or reported.
Automated systems look for indicators such as duplicated content, unusual submission patterns, bot-like activity, and possible rating manipulation. Flagged or reported cases may then be examined by human moderators.
A business cannot remove a review simply because it is negative. It may report content that it believes violates TrustRating’s guidelines. The review should only be removed when it breaches platform rules, not because the company disagrees with it.
Find your company in the TrustRating directory and select Claim this company. You will be asked to verify that you are authorized to represent the business, commonly through the company’s domain or other business information.
A claimed business can manage its public profile, respond to reviews, invite customers, view AI consensus results, publish company news, access analytics, and embed TrustRating widgets, depending on its subscription plan.
Yes. Authorized business users can publish public responses to reviews. TrustRating’s business platform also supports editing, retracting, and restoring business responses.
No. Businesses can respond to reviews or report content that may violate the guidelines, but they cannot rewrite or directly change a customer’s review.
Yes. Eligible business plans allow companies to send branded review invitations and monitor invitation activity such as opens and clicks. Monthly invitation allowances depend on the selected plan.
No. Businesses should invite customers fairly and must not selectively invite only satisfied customers to artificially improve their rating.
Paid plans can include multiple team seats and user roles, allowing departments such as customer support, marketing, and management to work from the same business profile.
Yes. The Free plan allows a business to claim its profile and use selected standard features. Paid plans add higher limits and capabilities such as additional invitations, team seats, analytics, integrations, widgets, and AI tools.
Features differ according to the number of monthly invitations, team seats, widget layouts, analytics history, pinned reviews, API access, AI features, branding, reporting, and enterprise security options.
TrustRating displays monthly and yearly pricing options, with the yearly option advertised as providing a 20% saving. The final amount and renewal terms should be shown clearly during checkout.
You may need to wait until the limit resets or upgrade to a plan with a larger allowance. TrustRating should not charge automatic overage fees unless those fees were clearly disclosed and accepted beforehand.
Cancelling a paid subscription should not automatically delete the public company listing. Paid capabilities may end, while the business may return to the features and limits available under the Free plan.
Choose the Enterprise plan and use the contact option to discuss custom limits, security, SSO, integrations, onboarding, support, and contract requirements.
Depending on how the service is used, TrustRating may collect account details, reviews, ratings, support communications, device information, usage information, cookies, and information obtained from publicly available company sources.
Published reviews, ratings, usernames, and associated public profile information may be visible to other users and website visitors. Do not include passwords, financial details, identity documents, private contact information, or other sensitive data in a review.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or obtain a portable copy of your personal data. Contact TrustRating support to submit a privacy request.
Yes. Cookies may be used to maintain website functions, remember preferences, understand traffic, improve the service, and support security. Users can manage applicable choices through the cookie-management tools or their browser settings.
TrustRating’s current terms state that users must be at least 18 years old or the legal age required to enter into a binding agreement in their jurisdiction.

Use the report option available with the review and select the most relevant reason. The report can then be assessed by TrustRating’s moderation systems and, when necessary, a human reviewer.
A review may be removed or restricted if it appears fake, abusive, misleading, unrelated to a genuine experience, legally problematic, promotional, or otherwise contrary to TrustRating’s guidelines.
Widgets allow businesses to display their TrustScore, reviews, or AI consensus information on their own website. TrustRating currently advertises responsive, copy-and-paste widget layouts, with availability depending on the subscription plan.
Smart AI Replies generate suggested drafts that businesses can use when responding to reviews. Businesses should check and edit each draft before publishing it because the company remains responsible for the final response.
